I don't know what to say about this episode. I really hate saying that it feels like a Monday episode because that makes it sound as if all Monday episodes are bad, which is totally not true. There were some good moments here, just like in most episodes. It just felt sort of slow.

Oh I thought it was so cute when Ji Hoo rode on that cleaning machine. You have this well-dressed man with excellent posture just riding away on this thing like a little kid. I thought it was hilarious.

And then Jan Di faints because of the stress and Ji Hoo takes her home. OKAY. HERE THE FUN BEGINS. She's asleep and Ji Hoo sits by her side and kisses her hand --which was a really tender scene between them that I actually loved--AND WHO SHOULD WALK IN BUT JUN PYO. Oh baby. Yes!!!  Also, Jesus Jun Pyo, there is such a  thing as knocking.

But who really cares about manners in a drama, right? MOAR AGONY PLEASE.

So Jun Pyo is just standing there looking like he's getting skewered by an invisible rod and I'm flailing so hard because YES! HAHAHA. HOW DO YOU LIKE SOME OF THAT PAIN? And he just stands there with his fists clenched as Ji Hoo frenches Jan Di's hand.

Oh the pain.MOAR PLEASE.

So after standing there dumbstruck and angry as hell, and probably depressed as well, he tears himself away and goes to cry in his car--because, as I've said a million times the writers know exactly how I like my drama heroes: pitiful and perpetually crying inside their cars.  I wonder how many more times they are gonna make him cry, because I need him to suffer a little more before I can forgive him for being such a tool.

And then I swear to God that the next scene freaked me out like nothing else. We cut to Jan Di at school and SHE GET'S A NOSE BLEED. Now if this were the real world, the most you'd have to worry about is looking like a jackass because you have to stuff a tissue into your nose and no one looks attractive walking around with a wad of tissue streaming out of their nostrils. In k-drama world? YEAH YOU'D BETTER PANIC.

So after the initial, OHSHIT KDRAMA CANCER STRIKES AGAIN, I realized that it was probably an effect of the stress...I hope.

Jan Di sees Jun Pyo by the stairs as she's holding a napkin to her nose. There's nothing really significant here except that Jun Pyo is wearing these REALLY tight pants and this is the first time I've really been happy to see him walk away from her. Mmmm. A good view is a good view, ya know?

OH! And then when she's gone Jun Pyo kicked a wall. I have to wonder, for the kids who go to school with the F4, are all these bursts of random violence just commonplace. Do you think there are just kids standing around in a corner, chatting it up, and then Jun PYo starts freaking the fuck out on a  wall. Does it just not register any longer? Because I swear, if I'm at school or wherever and some guy with a crazy perm  starts kicking the shit out of a door or a wall OUT OF NOWHERE, I'd maybe consider backing the hell away. Just in case he was a tad psychotic, you know.

And then there's this really strange scene between K-Shigeru (whose name I will never remember) and Jan Di, where K-Shigeru calls Jan Di to the park and Jan Di goes and is looking for her and K-Shigeru suddenly appears and hugs Jan Di from the back. Was I the only one who went, man, one of the writers is shipping Jan Di/K-Shigeru for reals.

But slash-goggles aside, it seems that Jun Pyo (the bastard) asked K-Shigeru out. And MY GOD. Jan Di's face when she hears this. It broke my heart. It really did. I know a lot of people have a problem with Jan Di because she's not as tough as her other counterparts, but I say, HATERS TO THE LEFT. To the FAR left, please. I love her to death.

Anyway, then there's this really odd show where these women are modeling cellphones? Do these types of shows really exist. Wouldn't it be a better idea to just set the phones on display where everyone can see them clearly.  Because I don't think Woo Bin even noticed that the models where carrying phones in their hands. I doubt he even noticed anything past their chests.

OKAY. I love this part. It looks like Jun Pyo brought K-Shigeru to this modeling thing. He goes to say hello to F3 and THEIR REACTIONS ARE HILARIOUS. Yi Jung smiles politely and nods because I don't even think being threatened at gun point could even shake that boy's cool. Woo Bin looks so fucking uncomfortable and much like he'd rather get back to boob-watching. Ji Hoo? JUST STARES. Oh i love them all so. They should all get matching tatooes that say "Team Jan Di" and be done with it.

And when K-Shigeru says that she got a matching phone as a present? I don't think I've loved Woo Bin more.  He looks like he's five seconds away from strangling her. And Yi Jung's smile gets all the more tense. HAHAHA. I love that they get so uncomfortable at the sight of Jun Pyo with someone else. Oh, AND JI HOO JUST KEEPS STARING. He doesn't even say anything, he barely does anything, and he still looks utterly pissed. The actor really has gotten a lot better since the beginning episodes.

Oh and through all this, jun Pyo looks like he's contemplating how difficult it would be to throw himself out a window.

So Jun Pyo and the fiancee go on their first date. They also go to this realy strange teddy bear museum. And I mean that they had teddy bears in all sorts of positions. They even had some bears making out during a concert. I had this really strange thought pop into my head as I was watching this, wondering if somewhere in this place there was a red curtained room with a sign next to it announcing, Naughty Bears Come Here.

...I...sometimes my head just goes places, okay?

MOVING ON.

And then we're back at school and Jun Pyo and the fiancee are walking and she says that if he kisses her that she'll stop chasing him around everywhere and wait by calmly. And  of course, Jan Di is on the balcony with Ji hoo, watching these events unfold.

I don't really know what to think of this scene. I mean, think of the most awkward, stiffest kissing scene you've ever witnessed, multiply it by a million, and you have something that might resemble what happened between the fiancee and Jun Pyo. Yeah, it was that awkward. For one, it's obvious Jun Pyo was thinking of Jan Di the whole time. Also, HE KEPT HIS FUCKING EYES OPEN THE WHOLE TIME.

I get that this was a purposely awkward scene, but Jesus Christ. A+++ on the creepy. Jun Pyo is basically just staring at the wall as he does this. That...that looked INCREDIBLY uncomfortable.

But, of course, Jan Di only sees the backs of their heads before Ji Hoo pushes her head against his manly chest.

And then the fiance opens her eyes only to find Jun Pyo gone and she looks absolutely dazzled. Dazzled like she's just seen Edward Cullen dazzled. THAT'S BECAUSE SHE DIDN'T OPEN HER EYES WHILE SHE WAS BEING KISSED. I don't think she would have been that lovestruck if she'd looked up to see Jun Pyo's creepy robotic gaze locked on the wall as he was kissing her.

And then she goes running after him, saying what, without the subs, I'd thought had been something along the lines of, Wasn't it good for you too?

Now here's the thing. I can get another girl crushing on Jun Pyo--because he's incredibly hot. But after a few days worth of his attitude wouldn't you get annoyed? I can buy that the fiance might be a little naive and lovestruck, but really, the guy basically treats her like she's a fungus and she's still chasing after him. Doesn't she know Korea is teeming with hot millionaires? Doesn't she watch dramas?

OH DOUBLE DATE YESSS!!! I thought it wouldn't happen, but then it did! He spent the whole thing just glaring at the table. AHAHAHAHA. And then the fiance makes them all go on a couples trip. I think Jun Pyo actually popped a vein at this point.

My god I hate Yi Jung's father almost more than I hate evil mom. I mean that whole "Oh I lost the love of my life so now my life is full of woe!!!" attitude is just so ridiculous. Evil mom might be evil, but she doesn't lay around moping about how sad her life is. She has lives to ruin, thankyouverymuch.

And Poor Yi Jung. His father tells him that he, Yi Jung, resembles him the most and the poor boy almost has a panic attack. I find the actress who plays Sara really dull, though. But poor Yi Jung. I hope he gets a happy ending.

Also, Jun Pyo and ji Hoo can't cook for shit. And that high-five after they were done! Like, YEAH! WHO'S THE IRON CHEF? And I thought to myself, well I can already tell how this trip is going to end up: food poisoning.

OH MY GOD. Did Ji Hoo just cut Jan Di's meat up for her? Did anyone else hear that just now? IT'S THE SCREAMS OF A MILLION RUI/MAKINO SHIPPERS EXPLODING INTO FANNISH GLEE.

And Jun Pyo just keeps at that wine bottle.  Apparently, nothing goes better with red wine than misery.

OH! Jun Pyo saves Jan Di after she nearly drowns in the pool because of her bad back. He learned to swim so that no other man would have to save her. OH MY OTP. And we get this scene of him learning to swim. I was hoping they'd show him doing a doggie paddle, but no luck.

And then Ji Hoo takes Jan Di inside and Jun Pyo just stares after her with such a pained look that even K-Shigeru notices. She asks if he's okay and he says that everything is A-OK.

I mean, yeah, his heart is probably being crushed into powder-fine dust and he's turning into a shell of himself, but don't worry about silly things like that.

Oh and Shigeru finds the star necklace and then later attempts to seduce Jun Pyo while he's having his sexy alone time in the hot tub. AND JAN DI SEES HER DO IT.

THE END.

Your write-ups are always the best. I loled so hard at JP's pained looks at JH/Jandi. Since I still have rage my main thought was 'serve you right, jerk!'

YJ's Dad is just - yeah, great excuse for failing as a human being and making your family miserable. Not.

My JP rage has actually mellowed a lot. Sure, I still have moments where I would love to break his kneecaps, but then he starts crying and the anger lessens into laughter. That's K-Hanadan for you, making people just a little more sadistic one episode at a time.

YJ's dad is just a useless and selfish tool.

And the funny part when Joon Pyo kicks the wall is the shot right before he kicks the wall theres people in the backround. But when he has his little temper tantrum there aren't any people.

I guess the just "vanished". lol

Maybe they were being sensible and scattered like insects when they saw that JP was in one of his moods again.

Someone besides me actually likes Jan Di?! I thought I was alone in the world....

I totally missed the Jun Pyo tight pants scene. I'll have to rewatch that.

Great summary btw!
