Shout-out to [livejournal.com profile] dangermousie who showed me how to do an LJ cut. Yes I know, I'm utterly retarded.

I'll probably write something longer later today, but for now here are some quick thoughts on ep 9 of K-Hanadan. Spoilers ahoy.

1. They are REALLY showing how starved for family Jun Pyo is this last episode. That scene where they are preparing kimchi and you just see him having so much fun being dorky with Jan Di's family. IT BROKE MY SOUL.

2. The guy they picked to be K-Yuki's boyfriend totally looked the part of the douchey boyfriend. Good casting,. I wanted to punch him in the head the moment I saw him.

3. That date scene had really adorable parts.

4. $#%^*&(&%@#$$%#$@$ JAN DI KICKED THE SHIT OUT OF THAT MOTHERFUCKER!!! When they put her so high up in that scene, I'd been sure they were going to skip her beating that guy up. And then she JUMPS OVER THAT THING LIKE FREAKING JET LEE. ^%$#@@!

5. That was the hottest "peck" I've ever scene. (Although they cut off before the end, so you don't know if they're progressing to more) If the Japanese adopted this system of kissing in their dramas I'd be A-OKAY with it.

I am so excited to watch it!

[identity profile] seven-trees.livejournal.com 2009-02-02 11:07 pm (UTC)(link)
I thought it was so cute. AND Jandi beat someone up. Always entertaining to see.

[identity profile] sodahands.livejournal.com 2009-02-03 06:20 am (UTC)(link)
Oh god that peck was awesome! Man, Lee Min Ho knows how to kiss! And their conversation before the kiss? So incredibly sweet!

OMFG I CHEERED WHEN JANDI KICKED THAT BASTARD'S ASS!

[identity profile] seven-trees.livejournal.com 2009-02-03 09:48 pm (UTC)(link)
Didn't you just want to punch out the douchey boyfriend? What an asshat.

[identity profile] sodahands.livejournal.com 2009-02-03 09:50 pm (UTC)(link)
Yes, yes I did. I loved that he got beat up by both Jandi and Jun Pyo!

[identity profile] seven-trees.livejournal.com 2009-02-03 09:53 pm (UTC)(link)
beat up by both Jandi and Jun Pyo!

He didn't just get beat up. He got KNOCKED THE FUCK OUT.

I love my violent OTP. Yes, violence is always the answer.

[identity profile] sodahands.livejournal.com 2009-02-03 09:56 pm (UTC)(link)
Lol so true! I love their violent streak! Now let's see Jun Pyo seducing teaching Jandi how to weild that samurai sword.

Have you seen episode 10 yet?

seducing teaching Jandi how to weild that samurai sword.

SOMEONE PLEASE WRITE PORN FOR THIS NOW.

Have you seen episode 10 yet?

Of course. Have you?

[identity profile] sodahands.livejournal.com 2009-02-03 10:04 pm (UTC)(link)
IKR!

Yes and THE FUCKING PDS... COP OUT.. SUNLIGHT.. ARGH!!!!!!

[identity profile] seven-trees.livejournal.com 2009-02-03 10:25 pm (UTC)(link)
COP OUT.. SUNLIGHT.. ARGH!!!!!!

I was like, are they imitating Hanadan? WHAT? Do you know how much I hate those sunlit kisses? A LOT. Almost as much as I hate timejumps. I mean, could you even see what they were doing?

But they are still so cute. With the hand-holding and the COOKIES. Jun Pyo looked so happy.

And I read about someone on Soompi saying that Ji Hoo easting a cookie was a metaphor and I honestly think people are thinking about this too much. I think the guy just had a case of the munchies...or he did it to fuck with Jun Pyo.

[identity profile] sodahands.livejournal.com 2009-02-03 10:32 pm (UTC)(link)
ME TOO! Ugh! I was pissed and to top it off they played that freakin Paradise song. But yeah they are just too cute so I'll forgive them (I wonder what they were saying on the bridge though).

And how about when the two of them entered that contest? Eee! I think that might have been my favourite scene.

Ugh yeah Soompi people are so overanalyzing with the whole "a piece of Jandi's heart belongs to Ji Hoo" which is crap cos THE SCENE IS FROM THE MANGA and the apple thing Woo Bin and Ji Hoo were just messing with him!

[identity profile] seven-trees.livejournal.com 2009-02-03 10:43 pm (UTC)(link)
And how about when the two of them entered that contest?

I couldn't stop staring at the girl who was carrying her boyfriend. That was awesome.

But it was really cute how she was just hanging onto him like a monkey. AND also when he asked her why she was doing this for a phone when he could just buy it for her, and she says because she want to get it through her own abilities. He's all, YOUR abilities.

[identity profile] sodahands.livejournal.com 2009-02-03 10:50 pm (UTC)(link)
Jun Pyo's mom is so damn scary. She's the scariest out of all the moms in the adaptation.

But it was really cute how she was just hanging onto him like a monkey.
I LOVED that! She looked so happy and excited while he just looked bored and a little disgusted. They are sooo adorable!

AND also when he asked her why she was doing this for a phone when he could just buy it for her, and she says because she want to get it through her own abilities. He's all, YOUR abilities.
Damn I really need to see it with subs!

[identity profile] seven-trees.livejournal.com 2009-02-03 11:52 pm (UTC)(link)
I agree than Jun Pyo's mom is terrifying. AND she loves fur just as much as Jun Pyo which I find hilarious for some reason.

[identity profile] sodahands.livejournal.com 2009-02-03 11:55 pm (UTC)(link)
Lol the entire Gu family seems to love to adorn themselves with furry dead things.

[identity profile] seven-trees.livejournal.com 2009-02-04 12:08 am (UTC)(link)
OH MY GOD. I just remembered that scene when they were doing the swimming competition and Jun Pyo's sister had this furry animal--from head to tail-- draped over her shoulder.

I...that was one hell of a fashion statement.

[identity profile] sodahands.livejournal.com 2009-02-04 12:11 am (UTC)(link)
That was totally a fox. I COULD SEE ITS TAIL OVER HER SHOULDER! *shudder*

[identity profile] seven-trees.livejournal.com 2009-02-04 12:17 am (UTC)(link)
I COULD SEE ITS TAIL OVER HER SHOULDER!

GOOD GOD. Why do people think wearing these things is a good idea. That would so creep me out. I wouldn't be able to stop thinking, ROADKILL ON MY SHOULDER!

[identity profile] sodahands.livejournal.com 2009-02-04 12:39 am (UTC)(link)
I was screaming that at the monitor basically. At least Jun Pyo doesn't wear as much fur anymore. Lately he's been looking like a fairly normal (using that very loosely) well-dressed teenager.

[identity profile] seven-trees.livejournal.com 2009-02-04 12:52 am (UTC)(link)
You know, with K-dramas sometimes leaning to the BAD side of fashion spectrum, I they would have had a field day with this. They've had some...questionable pieces (like Jun Pyo's coat/dress) but most of the things they've had on the actors are pretty tame.

[identity profile] sodahands.livejournal.com 2009-02-04 01:03 am (UTC)(link)
That's true. They've all been dressing fairly normal except for in New Caledonia. Oh those pink pair of pants and mandals...

[identity profile] seven-trees.livejournal.com 2009-02-04 01:49 am (UTC)(link)
Oh and the hamburger dress. That was a hot mess.

[identity profile] sodahands.livejournal.com 2009-02-04 01:51 am (UTC)(link)
That hamburger dress still wasn't as bad as her marshmallow top with red skirt ensemble.

[identity profile] seven-trees.livejournal.com 2009-02-04 02:37 am (UTC)(link)
Oh god, the fashion. IT BURNS!

[identity profile] sodahands.livejournal.com 2009-02-04 02:41 am (UTC)(link)
They are still doing better than Goong and all its polka dots. Yeesh now that show pretty much set the bar for blindingly bad fashion *shudder*

[identity profile] seven-trees.livejournal.com 2009-02-04 06:53 pm (UTC)(link)
If we're going by countries, then Goong definitely set the bar for bad K-drama fashion. But if we go with Asia in general, I think it's a pretty close tie between Goong's polka dot shirts and J-Hanadan's metallic jackets and pointy shoes.

[identity profile] sodahands.livejournal.com 2009-02-04 09:37 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh god, J-Hanadan's fashion pretty much left me speechless. Every time I saw Domyouji kick someone I was afraid the person was going to get stabbed by his shoes.

[identity profile] sodahands.livejournal.com 2009-02-03 10:05 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh I just realized I forgot the "/strike" which is retarded.
