Okay, so I got a Dreamwidth account just in case everyone  decides to move their asses there overnight and I find myself alone is the deserted wastelands that were once Livejournal. But MAN, that whole six icons max thing they have going on over there is not on at ALL. I never thought I'd have trouble with it because, really, I tend to think that I have five expressions at most (among them are classics such as Bitch please! and Craptastic! )

But how about when I want to say something different. Like, what about if I want to comment on the stupidity that is Smallville without actually speaking about it. That's what icons are for right? I mean, I can't just be randomly commenting about something and then suddenly turn around and go, "And by the way, did you know that season 8 of Smallville currently consists of 60% stupidity and 40% Hot Davis Bloom action? TRUFAX!" No, I can't because that would already make me seem weirder than everyone already thinks I am. So, I guess the point of this post (after all that rambling) was to say that even though I have a Dreamwidth account, I'm still going to be using this LJ one as my main account because I never know when I'll feel the need to randomly bring attention to my Davis Bloom obsession without actually saying a word about it.

Overall, it was completely over-hyped. It wasn't even that it was that bad, it's just that I've seen all this before. Literally.

I just heard that Jen Sacks' Nice is going to be made into a movie. So my reaction went through about three stages in less than five seconds. It started as "OH HOLY CRAP YES!" degenerated into "But, wait the fuck up, self, it's Hollywood." and then, "....OH HELL NO! STEP OFF MY BOOK, HOLLYWOOD!"  And as I read on, yes, Reese Witherspoon is being considered for the lead role. Well, there goes Captain Hollywood himself, back from another productive day of raping my childhood memories to even further degrees.

I've been in a really strange mood lately. I'm very depressed, but it's not the weepy sort of depressed. Rather, I'm sad and I don't want to get out of bed, but at the same time I'm completely angry. I don't even know, you guys. When I get like this I usually start listening to the heaviest death/thrash/black metal I can find because fast music can really calm me down sometimes, but even that isn't working. It all sounds so...slow. And yes, technically I can feel my ear drums being liquefied by the super fast beats, but I still keep thinking, "This is what all those hardcore metal heads keep worshipping the devil to? Pansies." 

And, uh, I know this is going to sound kind of paranoid, but am I the only one worried about the swine flu? I think I've heard that you can take some sort of medication to make it better, but still. All I keep thinking is that this is how it starts in all the movies. First, it's a little sickness that everyone thinks is nothing. Then it spreads and, before you know it, MOTHERFUCKING ZOMBIES.

And since I'm already talking about all sorts of things, guys how fucking awesome is HD programming? I mean, I recently bought an HDTV, but I only got it for the size because I only have regular cable. And then my mom found this special for Comcast HD and HOLY COW. I just keep marveling at how pretty everything looks. Seriously, sometimes there's not even anything good on and I'll just keep watching ridiculous programming on the Sci Fi channel about giant alligators bent on destroying the world. Shit, crappy tv is EVEN BETTER  in HD. Stupidity isn't nearly as painful to sit through when you can see the individual hairs on someone's head. Then you don't even notice that everyone in the movie is a jackass and completely retarded. SEE, AMERICA, HDTV SOLVES EVERYTHING.

I bet Legend of the Seeker must seem like a fucking masterpiece in HD.

I've also heard about that K-Hanadan music video/epilogue that's coming out. My feelings on this go somewhere between, "The mocking potential for this seems GLORIOUS." and "Wow, South Korea, still latching onto the teat of that cash cow, I see."

I'm still going to watch it. Yes, I know, I have a problem.

Okay, that Swine Flu has officially scared the hell out of me.

OMG, you guys, have you seen The Unusuals? That shit is FUCKING AWESOME. I think the reason why it worked so well for me was because there was a really good combination of humor and chemistry between the character. And because the scene where that one character just walks on the street, holding a bagged cat by the foot?  CRACKED MY SHIT UP. And come on, what other series out there features cops going after a cat killer? YOU WON'T SEE THAT SORT OF SHIT ON LAW AND ORDER.

And because I can watch no show without flailing over an OTP, yeah, I totally ship Amber Tamblyn's character with her partner.

And has anyone else seen Ladies No. 1 Detective Agency?  I found the first episode ADORABLE. The second was okay, but not as good as the first. And come on, it features one of the single best lines in television history: I'M SINGLE LIKE JESUS.

SINGLE LIKE JESUS. AHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! You know I'm going to use that phrase from now until I die.

Has anyone else heard this lady? I mean WOW. That's probably one of the best voices I've heard in a long time. I really hate the audience she's singing to though. Talk about bunch of douche bags. What, does a woman have to be 25 and have knockers out to there in order to sing well?

In conclusion, Susan Boyle rocked my shit properly. I hope she makes a cd.

I went to the fair today because it was boring as crap and there was nothing else to do. You know, one thing I really hate about Miami-besides the fry-an-egg-on-your-sidewalk heat- are the sudden bouts of rain. Seriously, it'll be all perfectly sunny and bright enough to blind a motherfucker one minute and then BOOM! Watch out because a lightning bolt is aiming for your ass.  I hate Miami, guys.

Anyway it was pretty hot at the fair but the all of a sudden it started POURING. Like, I think my socks were squishing as I walked. So my mom and I decided to hide out in the petting zoo until the raincloud passed. NOT A GOOD IDEA. Besides the fact that everyone in the whole fair seemed to have this same brilliant idea and so every time you shifted an inch you got VERY intimately acquainted with the person closest to you--SERIOUSLY, I was this close to telling old ladies to keep their boobs out of my personal bubble. I do not like getting bitchslapped by a pair of hooters. --frankly, the place was pretty rank.

And there were so many fucking chickens. Guys, I HATE chickens. Actually, I hate pretty much anything that has feathers. And by hate, I mean that I'll scream like a five year old girl and run if I see feathers headed my way. So this place was basically hell for me. Everyone kept going, "OOOOH look at the purty feathers on that peacock." And I basically clutched at my mother like a toddler and fought the impulse to go, "KEEP THAT MOTHERFUCKING TURKEY AWAY!" It was in a cage approximately 25 feet away from me. Sometimes I cannot even properly express my daily fail capacity.

There were also a lot of bunnies which were obviously adorable. There were cows too, but honestly, the biggest reaction that got out of me was,"Huh. I could go for some steak right about now."

I have to get my hands on this ASAP.

Wow, I've been watching a lot of tv lately. I watched Friday Night Lights because everyone and their fat uncle has been raving about that show since forever. Honestly, I liked it, but I'm not necessarily in it for the plot. Tim Riggins is smoking, yo. I'm totally digging the whole redneck thing he has going on. And I really like his relationship with Lyla, but I know how shows are. They tease me with the hot OTP and then when I get all comfy and attached, they come out and rip my heart out through my chest. (Thanks for that, BSG.)

I'm also watching Dexter and it is ABSOLUTE LOVE. I tried it once upon a time on DVD, but it didn't really stick. Now I can't get enough. I don't know what it is about that I like exactly. It just has this certain quality of silent madness to it. Okay, maybe not so silent, but it's not the sort of crazy where Dexter's sliding down the bathroom wall, wailing about how he's so broken and shit. Yes, Dexter has GINORMOUS issues, but he's not listening to Evanescence or being emo, which, according to fanfiction, is how all mentally unstable people act. And it's set in Miami! I'm so used to all the shows I watch being set in Korea or Japan or Taiwan that when they suddenly mentioned Coral Way I actually went, BWAH? And there is a lot of Spanish in this, which YAY! Although I'm pretty sure that some of the dialogue was a little stiff compared to how it's normally spoken. Maybe I'm just being overly analytical.
